From the Balcony

Our Favorites of 2016

At the start of a new year, the three blood-born Willefords who can speak (the Little One still has a ways to go) get together and talk about their favorite movies from the previous year. Each of us always has at least one movie on our list that makes the other two go “huh?” (usually me in particular). And we always have a couple of movies that make everyone’s list.

This year, everyone had The Big ShortHunt for the Wilderpeople, and Sing Street on their lists. Blake was the only one with The Music of StrangersSpotlightEye in the Sky, and Where to Invade Next and Lynn was the only one with The Babushkas of ChernobylThe ConfirmationMaggie’s PlanCaptain Fantastic, and A Man Called Ove on her list. As for me… well, let’s just say that I appreciate sci-fi, fantasy, and comics more than either of my parents do.
