March 20-23 & 27-30 | Friday-Monday for two weeks | 2 hours, 36 minutes | Rated PG-13 |
From Andy Weir, the writer of The Martian, this film throws a little more “fiction” into its “science fiction,” but still keeps plenty of “science along for the ride too. Ryan Gosling plays a junior high school teacher who wakes up on a spaceship rapidly leaving the solar system and with no memory of how he got there. He has to use his wits and everything around him to survive and stand a chance of saving the Earth from our sun being extinguished. There will be lots of MacGuyvering and cleverness, some good quippy lines, and maybe even an alien.
There are no official reviews released yet, but early buzz that I’ve heard is that it’s every bit as good as The Martian, and maybe even better.
Project Hail Mary will launch at The Clyde on it’s national opening day, Friday, March 20, and will play Friday, Saturday & Monday at 7:30 plus Sunday at 2:00 for two weeks.
