Oscar and Golden Globe nominations and a Spirit Award win for Screenwriting Nebraska. Almost Live comedian. Washington native. And now writer, director, and producer for The Confirmation, starring Clive Owen, Maria Bello, and Patton Oswalt. Bob Nelson has a whole lot to talk about, and you can hear about his work and life at a special Film & Filmmaker event after the 7:30 show of The Confirmation on Tuesday, May 3 at The Clyde.
Bob will talk about what it’s like to work in Hollywood; how it’s different being “just” the screenwriter compared to writer, director, and producer; what it’s like to be at the Academy Awards, and maybe he’ll even be able to tell us exactly what a producer does.
Admission is just $7, or $5 for those under 17 or 65 and over, and includes the showing of The Confirmation (also playing Wednesday & Thursday May 4 & 5 at 7:30). The box office opens at 7:00 for the 7:30 show.
