Patrick Moote and Unhung Hero 10pm November 30

Our Films & Filmmakers series of events recognizes people who have made or helped make movies. SWHS grad Patrick Moote not only helped make Unhung Hero, he has the title role. But we’re in a quandary as to how to advertise his film given its subject matter.  How to describe it so it is suitable reading for all ages? Let’s just say that Patrick tackles an age-old male question: Does size matter?

Unhung Hero is a documentary that is both serious and comical about an R-rated subject. The film follows Pat on his search for the secret to bigger equipment–or just maybe just making peace with the gear he has. Along the way he travels to far-off places to search for possible “cures” and consults those at home for advice. So expect to see his mom, his brother, and his doctor on the big screen.

Unhung Hero, which got good reviews at South x Southwest and other film festivals, was picked up by a distributor and has played on Showtime–all big accomplishments for a young man. Come congratulate Patrick on his success and enjoy his Q&A after the film. (You can probably find him at Mo’s Pub before the film–Mo absolutely dotes on those Moote boys.)
