This documentary celebrates the caregivers who tend to their family members with dementia, and the way a blog brought together a network of people all experiencing the same thing all on their own. It doesn’t sugar-coat dementia the way that some Hollywood movies do, but neither does it revel in the pain or the heartbreak. Instead, this film is all about the people doing the hard work day in, day out, what they learned along the way, and what they wish they knew at the beginning. It’s the opening to a conversation, a warm embrace of those who have been on this journey and those who fear that they might some day walk the same path. The film screening will be followed by a community conversation hosted by Beth Herrild, Executive Director of South Whidbey at Home, Aimie Vallat, Advisor to Healing Circles Langley, and film director and producer, Kitty Norton (virtually).
South Whidbey at Home, Healing Circles, and The Clyde Theatre bring Wine, Women, & Dementia to The Clyde Theatre for a single showing Saturday, March 7, at 2pm.
