Based on the beloved book, this story of a local Christmas pageant off the rails is well-known, but brought to delightful life by Judy Greer, Lauren Graham, and a whole host of children both naughty and nice. Greer’s homemaker Grace agrees to take on directing the local pageant, only to have those “bad kids” from the Herdmans sneak in and get starring roles. While the whole town wants them out of the pageant, Grace and the Herdmans provide some holiday lessons for those Grinches in town, and everyone learns the true meaning of Christmas. It currently has a 91% Tomatometer and a 97% Popcornmeter score on Rotten Tomatoes.

“A faith-based film that is going to be really entertaining and accessible for secular audiences as well.” -Christy Lemire, FilmWeek (KPCC – NPR Los Angeles)
“Jenkins comes from the world of faith-based media, and that world is not generally known for delicacy in its messaging, so it counts as a Christmas miracle that Best Christmas Pageant generally avoids heavy-handed sermonizing.” -Alonso Duralde, The Film Verdict
“The film endears itself by carrying its religious messages lightly, with humor, warmth, generosity.” -Nell Minow, RogerEbert.com
“Through its powerful performances, funny script, and warmness, The Best Christmas Pageant Ever is the best Christian film in many years, and something that will hold a warm spot in my heart during this holiday season.” -Cole Groth, FandomWire
“A charming movie that demonstrates the true meaning of Christmas. The perfect family film to get ready for the holidays.” -Tessa Smith, Mama’s Geeky
“Given my fondness for the source material, I expected to appreciate the movie. But I didn’t expect it to touch my heart in ways that only a few movies ever have.” -Hannah Seariac, Deseret News (Salt Lake City)
“One of the best holiday movies in a long time, an intelligent and thoughtful film about the true meaning of Christmas and how easy it is for anyone — even true believers — to get caught up in the superficial trappings and lose sight of why it’s important.” -William Bibbiani, TheWrap
