Coyote vs. Acme

September 25-28 | Friday-Monday | 1 hour, 43 minutes | Rated PG |

cartoon violence and some language

Sure, Wile E. Coyote never catches The Roadrunner… but is that really his fault? Or is it the fault of the shoddy Acme products that he uses in all of his schemes? Live action meets cartoon as Coyote takes Acme to court. It’s hilarious, sweet, and a little sassy (everybody knows that megacorporations aren’t our friends by now, right?), with actors Will Forte, Lana Condor, and John Cena keeping pace with the classic cartoon characters. Warner Brothers tried to cancel this and score it as a tax write-off, which feels particularly apropos since it’s doing so well now after being saved by new distributor Ketchup Entertainment. It currently has a 96% Tomatometer and a 95% Popcornmeter on Rotten Tomatoes.

“This merry, malicious long-delayed mix of cartoon and live action breaks out of legal jail to delight us all, except the Hollywood studio that tried to kill it. Go Coyote!” -Peter Travers, The Travers Take

Coyote vs. Acme is smarter and warmer than its premise suggests, and well worth the three-year wait. Simply put, this is an absolute delightful from start to fisnish.” -Linda Marric, HeyUGuys
