COVID Restrictions Relaxed!

As people on South Whidbey continue to get vaccinated and our community transmission rate continues to decrease, the community is getting safer from COVID-19. With Governor Inslee’s announcement of June 30th, The Clyde Theatre will be relaxing the majority of it’s remaining restrictions.
Out of an overabundance of caution, we will continue to require masks for those who are unvaccinated, we will continue to set aside the balcony for those who cannot get vaccinated for medical reasons, and (at least for July 2-5) continue to hold a portion of the auditorium for those who wish to remain socially distanced. If patrons don’t show interest in the socially-distanced seats, we’ll remove the tape from them as well. If people want to keep using them to enforce some social distancing, we’ll keep it in place for at least a little while.
We wouldn’t be in this position without so many people doing what’s right for themselves and for the community: getting vaccinated, masking up, and remaining socially distanced. It’s been a long 17 months, but hopefully we’re seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Thank you for being the community who knew you were.
I hope you’ll have a good turnout for In the Heights. It’s wonderful. Its release was long delayed by the Plague. I hope it will find a big audience on Whidbey.
