March 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 & 8 | Friday-Thursday | 1 hour, 55 minutes | Rated PG-13 |
It doesn’t get much better than Meryl Streep and Tom Hanks headlining a movie directed by Steven Spielberg. Especially when that movie is based on a true story about the first woman newspaper publisher and the hard-driving editor who worked together to uncover government secrets and lies going back four administrations. Spielberg’s direction is taut and sharp, and the story has serious modern-day parallels, especially given that the newspaper in question is the Washington Post. The Post has been nominated for two Oscars: Best Picture and Best Actress (for Streep).
The Post opens Friday, March 2, and plays at 1:00 & 7:30 Friday, 5:00 & 7:30 Saturday & Sunday, and 7:30 Monday-Thursday.
