Go into the mind of Charles Dickens, the creator of Tiny Tim, Ebeneezer Scrooge, the three ghosts, and all the rest of what has become the holiday classic A Christmas Carol. Beset by three flops, debts piling up, and estranged family coming to live with him and his family, Dickens struggles with writer’s block and the stubborn figments of his imagination to pen the story to save them all. It’s a film filled with wonder and imagination, not confined to the known facts of history and more concerned with a good, fun story.

The Man Who Invented Christmas opens Tuesday, December 19, and shows at 7:30 Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday.
