Seed: The Untold Story

March 21, 22 & 23 | Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday | 1 hour, 34 minutes | Rated Unrated |

Experience the passion that seed-keepers feel for their wards, and learn how a 12,000-year-old food legacy is being endangered by commercialization, industrialization, and conflict. This documentary looks at the poetry behind the green shoots and long hours of farming, what drives those who are most involved in protecting the planet’s seed banks, and what challenges they face.

We will be showing Baby Island: The Life and Times of a Small Place before each show. It is a seven minute documentary on Baby Island, a small deserted island off Langley, Washington. Baby Island offers a wealth of wildlife, natural beauty, and quite a history. Directed by Whidbey Islander Paul Shapiro.

Seed: The Untold Story opens Tuesday, March 21 at 7:30 and plays Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 7:30.
