Hidden Figures

February 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22 & 23 | Friday through Thursday | 2 hours, 7 minutes | Rated PG |

thematic elements and some language

The previously untold story of African-American “computers” working at NASA in preparation for the first American manned space flight, this is a rousing story of triumph against discrimination. A few feel-good moments have been manufactured for Kevin Costner’s head of NASA character, but otherwise the story focuses on three black women being the best at what they do, no matter what other people think of them. This triumphant movie has earned 3 Oscar noms (Best Picture, Best Supporting Actress for Octavia Spencer, and Best Adapted Screenplay), and probably should have been nominated for more (Taraji P. Henson just missed out on a Best Actress nom). Rated 93% Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes.

Hidden Figures opens at the 2:00 open-caption matinee Friday, February 17, and plays at 2:00 & 7:30 Friday, 4:45 & 7:30 Saturday & Sunday, and 7:30 Monday-Thursday. Please note that the weekend early shows are at 4:45 due to the length of the movie.
