August 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, & 24 | Friday - Thursday | 1 hour, 46 minutes | Rated PG-13 |

intense war experience and some language

Intense from start to finish, Christopher Nolan packs so much into the taut 1 hour, 45 minutes of Dunkirk that you can barely take a breath. Each beat builds on the one before it, taking you into those fire-scorched sands and bomb-tossed waters that you feel you might be one of the 400,000 Allied soldiers evacuated from the sleepy French seaside city before they can be destroyed by the Germans. Nolan’s direction is spot-on, the acting (Kenneth Branaugh, Tom Hardy, Mark Rylance, and more) is crisp, and Hans Zimmer’s score is masterful. Rotten Tomatoes rates it 93% Fresh.

Dunkirk opens Friday, August 18, and shows at 7:30 Friday, 5:00 & 7:30 Saturday & Sunday, and 7:30 Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday.
