Black Panther

March 16 - 26 | Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat, Sun & Mon | 2 hours, 14 minutes | Rated PG-13 |

prolonged sequences of action violence, and a brief rude gesture

An engaging story, great action sequences, and fantastic characters. And those are the low notes. Ryan Coogler (Fruitvale Station and Creed) has put together a comic book movie that combines gorgeous Afrofuturistic designs, a Shakespearean story of betrayal and grandeur, and the history of an African nation that has never been colonized. Those are the things that will hit you after the movie, but when you’re actually watching, it will probably be the story, action, and characters. Chadwick Boseman is excellent as always, but it’s Letitia Wright, Lupita Nyong’o, Angela Bassett, Danai Gurira, and especially Michael B. Jordan who steal the show. The critics are already saying that this is the best Marvel movie yet, and Rotten Tomatoes has it rated 97% Fresh.

Black Panther opens Friday, March 16, and plays at 7:30 Friday, 4:00 & 7:30 Saturday & Sunday, 7:30 Monday-Friday, 7:30 Saturday, Sunday & Monday, March 26 (due to the length of the movie, the early shows Saturday & Sunday the first weekend are at 4:00 and there are no early shows the second weekend).
